PADI Divemaster, is one of the most sought after qualifications in the diving community, it shows you have attained a professional status that requires a high level of skill and knowledge and that is both intellectually and physically demanding.

During the Divemaster course you will be required to complete water stamina tests, rescue scenarios, a stress test, a mapping exercise, a skills demonstration and actively organize and participate in running PADI courses and experiences. In addition to the water work you will need a soilid foundation of dive knowledge so you will participate in knowledge development study and exams, in topics such as Physics, Physiology, Decompression Theory and more.

All of this is completed in a six week Divemaster internship (on the job, work experience). This provides you with hands-on, practical experience and a greater insight into dive centre operations you will gain more in-depth knowledge of daily diving logistics, equipment, compressor and boat maintenance, retail sales and customer service.

PADI Divemaster Course And Divemaster Internship
Your PADI Divemaster program lasts from 15 days to two months depending on how long you can stay in Ko Tao. We'll run your PADI Divemaster course as an internship so you get hands-on experience with certified divers and student divers in training. During your internship you'll be working closely with our experienced team of PADI Instructors to expand your dive knowledge and dive skills, strengthen your leadership abilities and improve your in-water scuba skills. You'll join challenging and exciting training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba. The Divemaster program is hard work but fun and includes lots of ocean dives at the best dive sites in Ko Tao.

PADI Divemaster course prerequisites :
To enter the PADI Divemaster course you need to have Rescue Diver certification, CPR & First Aid training taken within the last 24 months, and medical clearance to dive signed by a doctor within the last 12 months. You'll need to be at least 18 years old and have 40 or more dives to begin the course.

PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) Course
Curious about teaching scuba diving? The PADI Assistant Instructor course (AI) is the first part of the full PADI Instructor Course (IDC). The second part of the PADI Instructor Course (IDC) is the PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor Course (OWSI). Taking both the Assistant Instructor course and Open Water Scuba Instructor course (plus the PADI Instructor Exam) leads to certification as a PADI Instructor. However if you don't have time for the whole Instructor course, or if you are just curious about teaching scuba but not ready to commit to the complete IDC, you can take just the PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) Course in less than one week here .

As a PADI Assistant Instructor you will start learning the PADI System of diver education. It's a great way to gain experience and build upon your abilities to organize and supervise scuba diving activities. During the Assistant Instructor course you'll learn through self-study, quizzes, lectures and presentations. In the classroom your PADI Course Director will work with you to improve your teaching skills, and in the water you'll work together to improve your general diving skills in-water rescue skills.

Prerequisites and Course Content :
To enter the PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) course you need to have Divemaster certification (PADI or a different diving agency), CPR & First Aid training taken within the last 24 months, and medical clearance to dive signed by a doctor within the last 12 months. You'll need to be at least 18 years old and have 60 or more dives and have been a certified diver for at least 6 months to begin the course.

The PADI Assistant Instructor course takes 5 days and taken during the first 5 days of the IDC or if taken outside IDC Dates. Included ;

PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Course (OWSI)
PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor course (OWSI) is the second part of the PADI Instructor Development Course (OWSI). If you are already a PADI Assistant Instructor (AI), or if you are already a scuba diving Instructor from a different dive agency, you can take just the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor course (OWSI) in 15 days here, plus 3 days for the PADI Exam (IE), to become a PADI Instructor and start teaching the PADI system of scuba diving education.

As a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) you will be able to teach all PADI courses from Discover Scuba & PADI Open Water course all the way through to the PADI Divemaster course.

Prerequisites and Course Content :
To enter the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor course you need to have PADI Assistant Instructor certification (or already be an Instructor with a different dive agency), be certified as an Emergency First Response Instructor and have medical clearance to dive signed by a doctor within the last 12 months. You'll need to be at least 18 years old, have 100 or more dives and have been a certified diver for at least 6 months to begin the course. If you aren't an Emergency First Response Instructor yet you can take this during the OWSI.

The PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor course (OWSI) takes 15 days and including ;

PADI Instructor Development Course Staff Instructor (IDC Staff) Now that you are a Master Scuba Diver Trainer you are ready to enroll in the PADI IDC Staff Course and start to teach PADI instructors. With this rating you are able to independently teach the PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) Course and conduct a lot of the Instructor Development Course with a Course Director. It is one of the most rewarding ways to give back to the diving industry is by training more instructors to grow the whole industry.

Our usual PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course consists of :
Staffing an entire IDC, this is by far the most perfered way throughout the entire world. During the IDC you will gain a great deal of experience in teaching, mentoring and the best way to grade and council the IDC Candidates.

However if you have any special requests our Course Director will be as flexible as possible.
